French Sulfides & Cameos 3
_In Pascal Greppe's article on sulphides, he pictures twelve encrusted cameos of Napoleon I in right or left profiles, or full face. The one of Napoleon I with the guiding star is by Andrieu (Illustration 32). In this weight the cameo is placed on a light blue surface which was made at the Baccarat factory.

_The one of Josephine is as fine as any jewel, and, from the canes and patterns in this weight, we know it came from the St.Louis factory. Those of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, each on an amber background, are very rare, and were supposedly made by Apsley Pellat. Those on a black background are also very scarce. Many of the fine French cameos were made by a man named Pazaurek.
