More About St. Louis Paperweights 3
_The deep blue entwining snake on a frosted base is another St.Louis creation-although the gold flecks, partially worn off, might seem to indicate that it is a Bristol, for in the Bristol weights the gold often behaved in this manner. The St. Louis identification is established, however, by the bluish cast and hardness of the opaque base.

_An especially interesting St. Louis is the "Ducks in the Pond" shown in the Illustration on the left. This weight stands out as a rare and important specimen. The little ducks are swimming in a clear glass pond, and green glass around the outside is intended to represent grass. Only a few of these weights were ever made.
